Minkyshop.com dress review!

I bought both these following dresses from www.minkyshop.com. They have a wide selection of cute asian clothing ranging from kimonos to dresses to tops to cosplay! Definitely go check them out if you love asian clothing! They also carry completely authentic clothing and brands, thus very good quality. Both of my dresses were from Snidel.

Retro Navy Dancehall Dress

I really like this dress because its simple and cute with laced up back that adds that extra little something. The material is very nice (it's heavy and kinda stretchy). The white areas are satin-like and the stripes are like ribbon. However, it is way too short (it cuts me off right under the butt) and I'm only 5'2">_< It's a good idea to wear a pair of lace shorts underneath to solve the problem.

Double Ruffle Lace Dress

This dress is very pretty and feminine. It's perfect for summer. Material is again very high quality. It is also available in white. It is short in the front and longer in the back. It is also laced in the front.

Rilakkuma iPhone and iPad case and accessories!!

Rilakkuma (Korilakkuma) iPhone and iPad case! <3

Rilakkuma iPhone 4 case ($3.00 from eBay): I'm in love with this case! Although it is not the original authentic one, you really can't tell the difference. The texture is super smooth and soft just like the original and it fits perfectly on my iPhone :). Only downside is that there is no opening for the "vibrate switch" on top of the volume buttons. But I always keep my phone on vibrate anyways so that's not a big problem. Also, the hole for the headphone jack is perfectly fine to fit earbuds, but can't fit an aux cable or any type of cable with thick wrapping around it (if that makes sense). But really, what else do you want for $3?? Overall, LOVE IT! <3

Rilakkuma iPad 2 case ($25 from Pacific Mall): This was my first iPad case and its awesome! For $25, you get a hard plastic back cover AND a magnetic "smart cover" that folds into a stand.

Pink Bluetooth Keyboard Case!!

Got this for $25 off eBay. Having a keyboard for the iPad is sooo useful! If I want to go to the library to study and take notes, I don't have to haul my heavy laptop there; I can just bring this! It has lots of shortcut keys too (volume, search, play, and even a home button). The battery lasts 90 hours of uninterrupted working time and 100 days standby time. I use this with the Notability app when I want to take notes! Works amazing! It's also great for taking to lectures for those of you who'd rather type than handwrite notes (saves paper!). The keys are kind of small though, but I have small hands so that's not really an issue.

X-Mini Portable Speaker and Stylus

Speaker ($25 eBay): Very useful for amplifying sound when listening to music or watching movie! It actually sounds very decent for some a small thing. And you can connect it to other X-Minis to amplify the sound even more (there's a special cable on the bottom for that). You can use it with anything that has a headphone socket.

5/5

Stylus ($10 The Source): It's a decent stylus for the price it is, but it's kind of fat and after using it for a while, the nib is starting to break. But I only bought it for draw something :p so its not a big deal.

tokidoki brushes :)

Kabuki brush
[Good] It's very soft, fluffy, and big. But most of all, it is super cute!
[Bad] Some people say it's too soft and not dense enough to pick up a decent amount of product for full coverage if you are using this as a foundation brush. I usually only use this for finishing powder so this isn't really a problem. Also, since it does have a square base, it makes swirling it in circular containers/lids kind of awkward.

4.5/5

Siberia blush brush
[Good] Same as above, very soft and cute!
[Bad] It is kind of hard to pick up product with this since it is soft. Hard to be precise with the blush. Also, since the brush bristles are tinted pink, it's hard to tell how much product is picked up by the brush before applying.

Skincare Routine

Clarisonic MIA

I love my Clarisonic! It does a super good job at exfoliating and scrubbing away make up and dirt leaving my skin soft and clean. The MIA is the cheapest of the Clarisonic brush systems, but I really don't see why you would need so many different speeds. Doesn't make that big of a difference. Also a feature I love on the MIA is the 2 minute timer so you don't have to worry about over scrubbing your skin.

I got mines for $110 off of eBay. BUT BEWARE OF FAKE CLARISONICS!! My mom got a fake one for $95, but got half of the refund when we found out. It is so easy to tell the fake from the real when you have them side by side, but if you've never owned one, then it can be extremely hard to differentiate. The brush is rougher, frequency of vibrations is lower, and most of all, new "authentic" brushes don't work when you put it on. The seller that gave us the fake one had 100% positive feedback at the time we bought it, but then some people starting saying it was fake, BUT most of those are removed now somehow o_O. SO BE CAREFUL! I wouldn't suggest buying from buyers with less than 500 feedback replies for something like this.

Another thing; I recommend using the brush with a light hand, if you actually scrub hard onto your delicate skin, broken capillaries may form on your cheeks. They look like little red veins and there is no cream that can treat this- only a trip to your dermatologist and $$$. That is also why I don't recommend using the brush for more than the allotted 2 minutes at a time.

(Step 1) Cleanser

Sana: Nameraka Isoflavone Cleansing Foam Wash
[Good] Out of all the cleansers I've tried, only this one leaves my skin squeaky clean, literally! When I use this with my Clarisonic, my skin feels soooo squeaky afterwards!
[Bad] If you use this around your eyes, it kinda stings and makes it hard to open ><
[Texture] Creamy, medium consistency
[Scent] None

Naruko: Tea Tree Oil Cut Acne Clay Cleanser
[Good] Leaves a minty, tingly feeling right after washing. Keeps pimples away :D
[Bad] Doesn't foam up, not that much of a lather
[Texture] Clay-like with micro-beads, thick consistency
[Scent] Tea Tree (a minty/medicinal-y tiger balmy smell)

(Step 2) Scrub

St. Ives: Green Tea Scrub
[Good] Good at preventing acne
[Bad] The smell lol
[Texture] Creamy, gel-like consistency with very fine grains to exfoliate
[Scent] Omg, I hate this smell... doesn't smell like green tea at all..a lot sweeter. Smells like hand lotion or something..it's not a bad smell, but I don't like it.

(Step 3) Mask

Formula 10.0.6: No Time to Shine Oil-Absorbing Mud Mask
[Good] Really nice mask! So good for acne spot treatment overnight; inflammation decreases dramatically by next morning. Use once a week.
[Bad] It does sting for the first few minutes.
[Texture] Creamy, mud-like
[Scent] Strong medicinal-ish scent (it's kind of refreshing :p)

(Step 4) Toner

 Lush: Tea Tree Water Toner
[Good] It's a really good replacement for my proActiv toner because it keeps pimples away unlike other toners I've tried.
[Bad] Nothing yet, although kinda pricey
[Texture] Like-water
[Scent] Tea Tree

(Step 5) Treat

Neutrogena: Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3 in 1 Hydrating Acne Treatment
[Good] Apply this to acne/blackheads and it makes them disappear, especially blackheads on the nose since they are so hard to get rid of. A little goes a long way since it is so runny :)
[Bad] You have to make sure to rub it into the skin until it is all absorbed or it will peel off in flakes, ew.
[Texture] Runny, thin consistency
[Scent] The scent is amazing! Smells like cucumber :) yum.

(Step 6) Moisturizer

Clinique: Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
[Good] Good moisturizer for oily skin. A little goes a long way.
[Bad] No SPF like my other moisturizers :(
[Texture] Runny, thin consistency
[Scent] None

(Step 7) Protect

Neutrogena: Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 55
[Good] Probably the best drugstore sunscreen for the face and decent price for such a high SPF.
[Bad] It does leave a greasy, dewy, non-matte, finish; typical of sunscreens. It tends to peel/flake off after it does dry. I'm not very fond of this sunscreen, but I'll use it up first before getting better ones since it does do the job.
[Texture] Typical, medium consistency of sun screens.
[Scent] Typical sunscreen scent.

Little Burgundy: Dolce Vita Seledon

Dolce Vita Seledon in Natural

Bought these shoes a while back- perfect sandal for spring :) They are so cute and not too high (heel is around 4" with a 1" platform). Made out of cork and also comes in fuchsia pink. Neutral color easy to match. Easy to walk in. However, straps are quite stiff and pinky toe tend to get squished when walking for long hours. ALSO, I ordered these in store to be delivered to my house since they didn't have my size and ... they only sent me the left shoe -___-. Had to go through customer service and get shipping label and go back to store to get my refund since I paid by debit. Soooo much hassle. And they only gave me a 10% off for all the trouble but I can easily get that with my SPC card or registering with their website.

Pros:
- Cute design
- Decent height, platform, and chunky heel for easy walking
- Perfect for spring!!

Cons:
- Straps very hard and stiff --> toes get squished
- Terrible service >_<!!

Yesstyle . com HAUL ! (image heavy)

Ok so I decided to order a couple of things from www.yesstyle.com. The total was about $154 because you have to order $150 and up worth of items to qualify for free shipping. The shipping is quite fast (3 business days) if all the items you ordered were in stock. Mines took about 2 weeks to get here because 2 items were not in stock. Overall, shipping was quite fast. Now to the haul! I ordered 7 clothing items and got a free gift from SHY SHY. Below is me and my friend trying on the clothes to compare them to yesstyle's model pictures. Hopefully this will help you guys if you're contemplating whether to buy clothes from yesstyle or not.

#1- Long-Sleeve Hooded Stripe-Trim Top (White- One Size) from SHY SHY [ $ 28 ]

4/5
This hoodie has really nice fabric and feels very comfortable. The detailing is quite good also. However, it was not as fitted as the one on the model, it is a little baggy. Also, you need to wear a white tank underneath because the material is a bit see through.

#2- Piano Print Sweatpants (Black- One Size) from SHY SHY [ $ 25 ]

5/5
I absolutely LOVE these pants. They are sooo comfortable! The material is not as thick as regular sweatpants so they are nice for the warm weather and chillaxing around the house. They are also very unique- I've had a couple of people ask me where I've gotten these. However, I wouldn't really recommend getting these if you are a lot taller than 160cm because they cut me right above my ankles when I sit down and I am 160cm. But then again, PERFECT length for us short asians :p

#3- Loose-Fit Smocked Print Top (Black- One Size) from PUFFY [ $ 14.40 ]

4/5
I was very happy with this top as seeing how it is practically identical to the one in model picture from yesstyle. Again, the quality and fabric is very nice. Not thin at all. The only thing is that this shirt is kind of plain and I'm not that big on the sleeves that cut me around the triceps area > makes my arms look wider. But other than that, this top is very good : )

#4- Off-Shoulder Polka Dot Chiffon Top (Black- One Size) from Tokyo Fashion [ $ 25 ]

2.5/5
Although, this top looks half decent in the pictures, it's not that great in person lol. First, the straps that come attached to the top are positioned very awkwardly (too far apart) and keep on falling off of the shoulders. Second, the ruffles and elastic around the shoulder/bust area makes that area look super wide and busy. However, the fabric is very good lol as always.

#5- Frilled Floral Chiffon Dress (Red- One Size) from Tokyo Fashion [ $19.80 ]

5/5
I have nothing bad to say about this dress! It is so pretty and airy. The fabric is amazing :D > very light and smooth for the summer. It fits me perfectly. The bust part is all elastic and very comfy. Very good purchase <3

#6- Dolman-Sleeve Oversized Long Top (Black- One Size) by 59 Seconds [ $ 22.40 ]

5/5
I am in love with this over sized shirt! Although I would never wear something this baggy outside, I love wearing it around the house > perfect for sleeping. It is so comfy!!

#7- Long-sleeve Scoopneck Oversized Top (Wine Red- One Size) from SHY SHY [$ 25]

1.5/5
This shirt is beyond fail. It is NOT BAGGY at all! The red color is more like cherry red than wine red. The sleeves are too short for my liking. It does not fall off the shoulder at all unless you force it down. The only good thing about it is the fabric (very nice quality) and the pockets (very big and unique). I would not wear this shirt at all...

FREE GIFT from SHY SHY- Gift box necklace

It is super adorable! Nothing bad about a wonderful free gift : )
